OUTSTANDING #EdCampPE RECOGNITION FOR 'AT-HOME' REMOTE LEARNING
Congratulations to CO-Winners Nakiya Brinson & Star Williams! Both awarded for Outstanding #EdCampPEClass Student-Of-The-Year! Their intrinsic motivation top notch during our 'At-Home' Remote learning days! They did the work with no guarantee of receiving a grade, took the time to troubleshoot, revised work when needed, and gave me valuable feedback on the 14 Days of 'Activities' / lessons that I was creating. Their motivation was purely to help provide future #EdCampPE students with resources to help them have a more enjoyable experience! Nakiya finished first, and showed patience & perseverance every step of the way! Star's digital citizenship, always using proper citations, was best I've ever seen form a student - possible future academic researcher, or author :) Star paid attention to detail, and her work was exceptional!
Both have received automatic acceptance into our WPPE Coalition in 2020-2021 to help advocate for all things related to PE!

2018-2019 Outstanding #EdCamp Groups
This core group, shown above, traveled through most EdCamp PE units together! They rocked it in Yoga, Mindfulness & Meditation, CardioKickboxing, and finished up with Gardening! There were a few in-between, but they shined in each of those units!
This group saved the day when the original gardening EdCamp decided to use the "rule-of-two-feet" and take off for Frisbee! No problem as this group offered to help & without them the Garden Unit might not have been completed by the end of the marking period!! Thank you for reducing my stress level!! Special guest appearance by gardening enthusiast, Ms. Pftozer to make sure all was running smoothly!
All the Mindfulness & Mediation groups made for a very special spring semester. They helped create what might turn out to be something we use with all my PE students as it was so successful. We brainstormed ideas and activities that we could do to make for a great unit! 4/5 classes were able to be a part of, or witness this experience & I honestly feel it was the start of something great. Credit to Colonial School District, Dr. Baker, and Mr. Bey for inspiring my students and I through PD in January of 2019!!
